Information, not advice

minisolar gives general information to help you compare plug-in solar kits. It is not financial, legal or electrical advice, and it doesn’t take your full circumstances into account. You’re responsible for deciding what to buy and whether it suits your home. If you need advice for your situation, speak to a suitably qualified professional.

Estimates are not guarantees

Yield, savings, payback and cost per kWh figures are estimates from a model. They’re based on typical weather data, published energy prices and assumptions (such as shading and how much electricity you use at home) that are explained in our methodology. What you actually get will depend on your location, your installation, the weather, your usage and your tariff, and may be higher or lower.

Stock, prices and product details can be wrong

We check retailers regularly and show when each price and stock status was last checked, but:

• prices and stock can change at any time between our checks;
• our checks can fail or misread a retailer’s page;
• delivery costs, discounts and other charges may not be included;
• product specifications come from retailers and manufacturers and may be incomplete or wrong.

Always check the price, stock, delivery and product details on the retailer’s site before you buy. The retailer’s information takes priority over ours.

Compliance information

We show each kit’s compliance state based on the Energy Networks Association register and the published rules, as explained in our methodology. The register can change, and we may match a kit to the wrong entry. Before you buy or use a device, check its entry on the ENA register yourself and follow the official requirements, including notifying your network operator.

Not electrical advice

Nothing on minisolar is electrical advice. Install and use any device in line with the manufacturer’s instructions and official guidance. If you’re unsure whether your wiring, sockets or circuit are suitable, use a qualified electrician.

Links to other sites

minisolar links to retailers and other websites that we don’t control. We aren’t responsible for their content, products, prices, delivery, returns or privacy practices. Any purchase is a contract between you and the retailer, not with us. Some links may earn us a commission; see our affiliate disclosure.

Using our content

The text, data compilations and design of minisolar are ours, except where we use third-party data under licence (see data sources). You may view and share links to our pages for personal use. We work hard to keep the site accurate, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always be available, complete or error-free.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can’t be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales. Law and courts
