This is minisolar’s public changelog. It records new features, changes to how we collect or calculate data, significant corrections, and changes to the plug-in solar rules that affect what we show. Newest first.

2026-09-29

Site built. The first version of minisolar includes:

• Live stock and prices from UK retailers, checked through the day, with “checked N min ago” on every price and status. Data older than 6 hours shows as Unknown.
• Change-only price and stock history for every kit at every retailer.
• In Stock pages listing compliant kits you can buy now, with categories.
• Kit, device, brand and retailer pages, and a coming soon list of compliant devices that no retailer sells yet.
• Compliance checks against the ENA Connect Direct “Plug-in Solar” register, synced several times a day, with five compliance states for every kit.
• Calculator and “My setup”: yield, savings, payback and cost per kWh for your postcode district, direction, tilt, mounting, shading and usage, using PVGIS data and Ofgem price cap unit rates for your region. Your setup is stored in your browser only.
• Batteries and power stations sections, for standalone products only.
• Trust pages: methodology, editorial policy, data sources, about, affiliate disclosure, privacy and terms.

Plug-in solar became legal to sell and use in Great Britain, under SI 2026/848. (Recorded here for reference; this was before minisolar was built.)
