ENA Type Test Register
The Energy Networks Association's public list of type-tested generation devices. Plug-in kits must be listed on it as Compliant.
The ENA Type Test Register, now hosted on the Energy Networks Association’s Connect Direct platform, lists generation devices that manufacturers have submitted as type-tested against network rules such as G98. Plug-in solar kits have their own device type (ENA Connect Direct).
For plug-in solar, the listing status is what counts. The DESNZ product specification requires manufacturers to register devices “and obtain confirmation that the device has been assessed and identified as compliant prior to placing them on the market”, and says submitting a device “shall not, in itself, be regarded as demonstrating compliance” (IPS §7). Entries are marked Compliant or Non-compliant.
Two caveats. “Compliant” means the kit has been assessed against G98 network requirements; it isn’t an independent check of every clause in the product specification, which manufacturers self-declare (government response). And each entry covers a complete kit, so check that the exact model and configuration you’re buying is the one listed. Our kit pages show the register status and when we last checked it.
