Plug-in solar became legal in Great Britain on 27 August 2026. Four things to know before you buy.
800W
maximum output
The inverter can feed at most 800 watts into your socket. Panels can add up to 2,000W.

compliant only
The device must be listed as Compliant on the ENA type-test register before it can be sold.

to register
You must tell your network operator. Do it before, or within 28 days of, plugging in.
